Everything You Need to Know About Shipping & Importing

Practical, easy-to-follow guides on freight methods, customs, duties and delivery — so you can choose the right shipping option and avoid costly surprises.

Shipping Methods

Choose the Right Way to Ship

Each method suits a different cargo size, budget and timeline. Here's a quick overview.

Shared Container

LCL Shipping

Less-than-container-load. Your cargo shares container space with other importers, so you pay only for the space you use.

Best for: small & medium shipments

Full Container

FCL Shipping

Full-container-load. A whole container is reserved for your goods — more secure, with less handling and lower cost per unit.

Best for: large, regular volumes

All-Inclusive

DDP Shipping

Delivered Duty Paid. We handle freight, customs, duties and taxes, and deliver to your door at one agreed price.

Best for: hassle-free, first-time importers

Fast Delivery

Air Freight

The fastest option for urgent, high-value or lightweight goods where speed matters more than cost.

Best for: urgent & high-value cargo

FAQs

Shipping Guide FAQs

How do I choose between LCL and FCL?

LCL (Less than Container Load) is best for smaller shipments where you only pay for the volume you use, sharing container space with others. FCL (Full Container Load) is more cost-effective and secure if you have enough cargo to fill an entire 20ft or 40ft container exclusively.

What does DDP shipping include?

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping means the seller assumes all responsibility, risk, and costs associated with transporting goods. This includes not only the freight itself but also export/import customs clearance, import duties, VAT, and administrative taxes.

How long does shipping take?

Transit times depend heavily on the transport mode and origin-destination lane. Express air freight typically takes 3 to 5 business days, standard air cargo takes 5 to 10 days, while ocean freight generally ranges between 20 to 45 days.

Can you help me calculate import duties?

Yes. Our legal logistics team regularly calculates customs duties, VAT, and specific local tariffs. We do this by cross-referencing your goods' exact HS code, total declared cargo value, and the current customs regulations at the country of entry.

Do you offer shipment tracking?

Absolutely. Every dispatch includes an assigned tracking number, giving you real-time milestone updates. You can track physical vessel coordinates, port handovers, and customs clearances at any hour through our simplified client dashboard.
